Ever feel like you're not a good enough mom? (I suppose it's not that uncommon.)
What do you do when you feel like you're not a good enough mom?
How do you get yourself out the funk?

You're not alone!! When I feel like that, I start to count all the ways my kids show that they love me. I count the ways I am a "cool mom" even if it's only to them. I maybe go ahead and plan to do something with them, something like spontaneously running off to see a movie or play a game, maybe even just baking or cooking something together. Whatever you decide to do, remember that you're a great parent because you're THEIR parent and they'll love you despite a multitude of what we think of as "failures."
ReplyDeleteI do get that feeling sometimes, like when my girl fell down and suffered five stitches or when she had a bad case of constipation. I start blogging. I watch old videos of my baby which make me smile and remind me how precious she is. I look at our happy photos. I take a walk in the park. I cook. I eat ice cream. I cry. I let it out. Then I move on. Knowing that life is still truly beautiful and my baby is waiting for me. There's no way to be a perfect mom, but a million ways to be a good one. And I go in search of my way again. =) Good luck!
